The Department of Immigration and Border Protection saw us carry out a very large wide ranging contract which showcased our versatility and skill across a range of disciplines. From our initial contract of recycled flooring and stairs we then took on: Plant room cladding and louvres, facade modifications, Bike enclosure planter walls, Auditorium and frameless glass walls.

Our initial contract began with 2000m2 of recycled flooring laid on all the atrium boardwalks + 3 sets of 5 storey stairs and a feature piece “Open, theatre stair” at the base of the atrium. Building the theatre stairs required precise setout so that all the finished surfaces sighted perfectly through in this high traffic area. The logistics of completing all of these works in the high traffic atrium areas is challenging when keeping the project flowing for the client and not locking down large areas with exclusion zones.

Eifer was tasked with the difficult task of filling in the entire facade that was removed to give access to the floors for the material hoist. We had to meet a strict out of hours time frame filling in a level each weekend only which had to happen no matter what. Tight timeframes and logistics are our speciality. We could install the steel, wall frames, cladding and glazing all in house.
