Two final gardens have been incorporated to complete the Gallery of the Gardens at the National Arboretum Canberra. As the Head Contractor and Landscaper, Eifer were responsible for both the hard and soft landscape for each garden.

Gift of Lift: Established through close cooperation between the National Arboretum Canberra and Gift of Life Incorporated, a Canberra-based not-for-profit association which promotes organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The garden boldly displays the idea of the constant underlying rhythm of a heartbeat. Eifer worked closely with National Arboretum Canberra, prioritising weekly meetings whilst liaising closely with the Donors and Architects to ensure design intent. Value and quality are of the highest importance for when working with donor funds.

The materials used are simple and site specific; decomposed granite, granite rock, timber segments, steel rings and a perennial based planting colour scheme reflecting the cycle of life within seasons. Overlaid to these soft, muted tones is a grid of white trunked birches that give structure to the garden and create a ceiling to the space.
